The French version of these terms (conditions générales de vente) prevails in case of discrepancy.

1. Purpose

These terms govern the purchase of the paid “WordCatch Premium” offer of the WordCatch browser extension, published by Justin Chesneau (see the legal notice), hereinafter “the Publisher”. Any purchase implies full acceptance of these terms.

2. Description of the service

WordCatch is an extension for the Google Chrome browser that shows the translation of words hovered on web pages and offers quizzes and reviews to memorize them.

• Free version: hover translation, quizzes and reviews, within a limit of 5 new words learned per day.
• WordCatch Premium: removes this daily limit (unlimited new words and quizzes) and adds smart long-term memory (adaptive spaced repetition), statistics with charts, the sentence where each word was met, and export to Anki.

Translations come from automated third-party services and may contain errors; users can correct them in the extension.

3. Prices

Prices are shown in US dollars (USD), taxes included, on the pricing page and on the payment page before any confirmation. VAT not applicable, article 293 B of the French General Tax Code.

The Publisher may change its prices at any time; a price change never affects a purchase already made.

4. Order and payment

Purchases are made from the extension (“Go Premium” button). Payment is made by card on a secure page operated by Stripe, through the ExtensionPay service. The Publisher never has access to card details. Premium access is activated as soon as payment is confirmed.

5. Duration

WordCatch Premium is a one-time purchase with no subscription and no automatic renewal. Access is granted for the lifetime of the WordCatch extension, on any browser where the user logs in with the email used for payment.

6. End of the service

If the Publisher permanently stops operating WordCatch, it will inform Premium users by email at least 30 days in advance. There is nothing to cancel: no further payment is ever taken.

7. Right of withdrawal and refunds

Under consumer law, consumers have 14 days from the purchase to withdraw. Beyond this legal obligation, the Publisher undertakes to refund in full, without justification, any request received within 14 days of the purchase.

To use this right, simply email trazevfx@gmail.com with the email address used for payment. Refunds are made to the original payment method within 14 days at most.

8. Availability and liability

The Publisher strives to keep the extension working properly, but cannot guarantee the permanent availability of third-party translation services. The extension does not work on some pages protected by the browser (Chrome's internal pages, Chrome Web Store). The Publisher cannot be held liable for a translation error.

9. Personal data

The processing of personal data is described in the privacy policy.

10. Complaints

Any complaint can be sent to trazevfx@gmail.com. Consumers may also use the European online dispute resolution platform.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by French law. Failing an amicable settlement, the competent courts are those provided for by law.
